Trainee Teacher Applicants
We are looking for applicants who are suited to the teaching profession both academically and personally. You must be passionate about working with children and young people, motivated, organised, professional and be prepared to work hard.

These will form some of the conditions of any offer made to you. You must meet all of the conditions prior to starting your course.
- GCSE Mathematics, English Language and Science: Grade C/4 or higher (or equivalent qualification. Please see our qualification policy for more information on equivalent qualifications).
- UK Degree, ideally grade 2:2 or higher, or international equivalent.
Whilst previous primary school work experience within Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is not essential, we do recommend that you gain an understanding of what it is like to be a teacher and the role of a teacher in the classroom. Trainees who have this experience find that it helps them to prepare for their interview and that it is beneficial on their course. It also allows you to ensure that you are making the right career choice for you.
School experience can be:
- working as a TA
- volunteer experience
- observational days
